Grandpage 2010

2 weeks ago I got a call from my friend Lance Rosenfield, asking if I'd come out and help him shoot a bunch of people dressed up like old people.  I said sure thing.  They were raising awareness of National Grandparents Day, which is apparently September 12th.  They handed out candy, Gas X,  and played bingo at the Jackelope on 6th Street.  I say its a great holiday and should make it onto all calendars worldwide.    http://www.grandparents-day.com/

Flash Tests

Been doing some flash tests to get ready for the Annual Quero Texas Turkey Fest 2010.  Max and Werner have been nice enough to let me steal their soul for the sake of Turkey portraits.

The Contract Shoot Wrapped

After a previous failed attempt to shoot downtown at Audiotorium Shores, we finally got permission to make this short film last night.  It was probably for the best, we needed more prep time in all departments.
Fortunately, last night went really smoothly.  No rain.  Andrew and Matt did a wonderful job as Philip and Johnson.  They're the two leads in The Contract, a new short film written by Jeff Nitzberg, Andrew Miller, and myself.
We came up with the idea to shoot a lens test for Jeff''s new anamorphic PL lens.  But instead of just a shooting a bunch of cool shots with music from He Got Game, we decided to write a script that we could shoot in a few hours, with a reasonably small all-star cast and crew.  Jeff was the Director of Photography, since no one else in the world has ever adapted a busted ass anamorphic PL lens to a Canon 7D.  His AC was his doppelganger Jake Eberts.  I asked my good friend and new go to sound guy Landry Gideon to come out, and Max Douglas came along to assist in the many facets of production.
A few stills from the shoot...
